Black Beach Iceland Engagement

This Black Beach Iceland Engagement wasn’t so much an engagement but more a seperate photo opportunity that could be an engagement. Reynisfjara, with its distinctive Icelandic black sand, enormous columns of basalt, and massive waves crashing into the shore was one of the locations that served as backdrop for Janelle and Brian’s wedding. The basalt rock formations with its unique shape, were used for a few episodes of Game of Thrones. Brian is a bit of a fan of Game of Thrones. This made him a very happy person! For them it wasn’t so much about wanting the perfect location or the best of everything, it was more about a feeling and the overall experience. They chose Iceland after falling in love with it a few years earlier. It was the perfect place to enjoy with close family who travelled to attend their intimate wedding.

I will blog Janelle & Brian’s Iceland Adventure Elopement very soon! But for now this amazing Black Beach photo portrait session needs its own space in our journal.

We always get very humbled when creatives such as Janelle and Brian (who are both photographers and videographers) ask us to create heirloom images of their precious life events. This entire epic journey wouldn’t have been possible with the best team on hand. We travelled together for five days to go to all the places Janelle and Brian wanted to take pictures in. We won some amazing friends and the best memories for Life!
